Tour description

Our tour starts at the parking lot near Gasthaus Schneizlreuth. From there, we'll proceed along the B305 toward Berchtesgadener Land.

After crossing the Schwarzbachwacht (mountain pass) we could, if we keep to the right, also visit the Taubensee lake.

We'll cycle down until we reach the main road and turn right.

After we have covered about three kilometers in distance and about 80 meters in altitude, we'll come to our first destination - the Hintersee, where some great restaurants and terraces invite us to take a leisurely break.

Then we'll travel back out of the valley toward Schönau.

We'll continue down the mountain to Engeday and keep to the right to reach our second destination - the Königssee.

After enjoying the view of the breathtaking Königssee, we'll cycle around the roundabout, behind the parking lot, along the main road via Berchtesgaden, and over the Austrian border to Grödig. We'll leave the main road in Grödig and keep to the left on a well-asphalted road in the direction of Wals-Siezenheim. We'll continue toward Marzoll to get back to Germany.

Now we'll travel down to Bad Reichenhall. From there, we'll climb a few meters upwards, which can be demanding, to reach our third destination - the Thumsee.

A nice café on the Thumsee lake shore will invite us to sample some delicious coffee.

Then we'll cycle back to the parking lot, where our tour will come to an end.

After the tour, a stop at the Schneizlreuth Gasthaus (restaurant) will be just the thing.
